Dailyn Acosta, PhD, PMH-C, IMH-E

Dr. Acosta is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides individual therapy services to adults. Dr. Acosta has specialized training and experience working with various populations – NICU, perinatal mental health, women’s health and wellness across the lifespan, among other areas of clinical and health psychology; she also has expertise in supporting healthcare providers in building resilience and improving their well-being. Dr. Acosta integrates principles from multiple evidence-based theories and interventions with the goal of tailoring therapy to each client’s needs. Services are offered in English and in Spanish.
Dr. Acosta received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Notre Dame and completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at UT Southwestern Medical Center. During her training, she served in various medical specialty areas addressing women’s emotional and behavioral health concerns, from oncology to obstetrics, gynecology, and perinatal issues. Dr. Acosta completed her postdoctoral fellowship with the Irving Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
She is an endorsed infant mental health specialist and certified in the specialty of perinatal mental health from Postpartum Support International. Dr. Acosta has presented her grant-funded research at national and international conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and co-authored textbook chapters.
